Start the school year with Invisalign®, a modern approach to teeth straightening. The process includes the creation of a series of custom-made aligners made out of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic. Wearing your custom-made aligners as directed will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. These shifts will be based on the exact movements that Dr. Silva has planned out for you.
You simply put in a new set of aligners about every two weeks until your treatment is complete. We want you to be confident about choosing Invisalign, so we think it is important that you are familiar with each step of the treatment process, from consultation to confident smile.
Choosing the right treatment plan is essential. That is why we invite you to come in and talk with us about all aspects of the Invisalign treatment. During the consultation, Dr. Silva will evaluate your needs, determine how best to help you, and discuss your case with you in detail. He will map out a custom treatment plan from x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth, and tell you the approximate length of treatment. While every patient’s case is unique, the typical treatment takes between 1 to 2 years for adults and for teens depending on the pre-treatment goals.
You will need to begin wearing a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks. This will advance you to the next stage of your treatment. You will require occasional checkups with Dr. Silva to monitor your progress. Also, for best results and a timely outcome, you should wear your aligners for most of the day (20 to 22 hours) throughout your entire treatment.
As the treatment is completed you will be smiling more than ever.
